Ajay Devgn is currently preparing for his upcoming film Singham Again, which is set to hit theatres this Diwali. The makers have recently released a nearly five-minute-long trailer for Rohit Shetty’s sequel, showcasing a bigwig cast that includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar , Ranveer Singh , and Deepika Padukone , among others. This Diwali promises a mega clash at the box office, as Ajay Devgn 's film will open alongside Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Ahead of their theatrical release, trailers of both the films have also been released a day apart, stoking a debate over which promises more fun.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Vs Singham Again: Box office heats up ahead of clash

While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 didn't quite meet fan expectations it was a box office hit. The third installment has raised expectations, especially with Vidya Balan reprising her role as the iconic Manjulika and the surprise addition of Madhuri Dixit in the same role.

On the other side, this time, the Singham franchise offers a unique twist on the Ramayana, featuring actors in the roles of Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, Lakshman, and Sita, but set in a copverse. Though it isn’t the first time Ajay Devgn has faced tough competition during Diwali release, over the past 15 years, he has released six films during this festive season, each encountering box-office challenges. Of those six, five achieved success, while one fell short. This Diwali, Singham Again aims to join the ranks high against Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Ajay Devgn ’s action comedy film released on Diwali was a hit grossing ₹1,19,74,00,000. Jab Tak Hai Jaan collected ₹1,37,83,00,000 in India.

Shivaay Vs Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)

Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was a close call with Shivaay grossing ₹1,11,73,00,000 and Ranbir Kapoor ’s romantic drama collecting ₹1,47,66,00,000

Golmaal Again Vs Secret Superstar (2017)

Another sequel of Golmaal performed well in the theatres with ₹2,64,18,00,000. Secret Superstar also performed well with ₹81,00,00,000 collection at the domestic box office.

Thank God Vs Ram Setu (2022)

Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn starrer grossed ₹30.75 crore. On the other side, Ram Setu earned ₹64 crore.
