Stree 2 Enters ₹600 Crore Club, Shraddha Kapoor Celebrates With Her 'Strees' | PHOTOS

Stree 2: The Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer has set a box office record by becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film ever and inaugurating the Rs 600 crore club in Bollywood. The horror-comedy movie is a sequel to the 2018 film and is directed by Amar Kaushik. Several industry insiders have been sending their good wishes to the Stree 2 team on the humungous success. Shraddha herself has celebrated the feat with her girlfriends.

Stree 2 narrates the tale of a headless monster who has infiltrated the small town of Chanderi and preys on quintessential ‘modern’ and outgoing women. Shraddha Kapoor's character in the film teams with Rajkummar Rao and others to put an end to the terrors while preaching a lesson on feminism. Therefore, to celebrate the success of the film, Shraddha temed with her girlfriends referring to them as the ‘Strees’ in her life.

On September 23, the actress took to her Instagram account to share a photo with her friends from an intimate celebration. The group could be seen twinning in red to celebrate the film. Shraddha shared the photos with the caption, "Jashn ka vatavaran 🎉🎂💫🙏🏼❤️With the most inspiring and wonderful Strees in my life."

Stree 2 achieves historic box office feat  

Horror comedy Stree 2 has become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time at the domestic box office with a collection of Rs 586 crore, the makers said on September 18. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, the movie released in theatres on August 15. According to the makers, the film is going “strong” in the fifth week of its release. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi , and Aparshakti Khurana.

“Woh Stree hai aur usne aakhir kar dikhaya… Hindustan ki sab se sarvashresth No. 1 Hindi film of all time!!! Yeh itihaas humare saath rachane ke liye sab fans ko bahut bahut dhanyavaad…Stree 2 is still running in cinemas successfully… theatre aao, kuch aur naye records rachate hain!” Maddock Films said in an X post.

The film has surpassed the lifetime business of the Hindi version of 2023’s Jawan, which till now held the title of the highest-grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office.
