Triptii Dimri Breaks Silence On Criticism Over Mere Mehboob Song: I Didn't Realise...
Triptii Dimri received flak for the dance steps in the song Mere Mehboob from her upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and she has now reacted to it.
Triptii Dimri is gearing up for the release of her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Co-starring Rajkummar Rao the movie will hit the big screens on October 10 alongside Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra. Ahead of the release, makers of the film released the song Mere Mehboob which did not leave the audience impressed. Triptii received massive trolling for her steps in the song and she has now reacted to it.
Triptii Dimri on facing trolls for Mere Mehboob song
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Triptii admitted that Mere Mehboob was a new territory for her and she had not featured in such a song before. The actress also asserted that she cannot be ‘good’ at everything. She, however, claimed that she would not stop experimenting just because of the fear of criticism.
The Animal fame shared, “I have to try everything. But one can’t be good at everything. But what’s wrong with trying? You have to give it your best; you’re here now. I didn’t realise (while shooting). It was my first dance number, I haven’t really done one like this before. And I didn’t think that it would get the kind of response that it’s getting. But it’s fine; it happens to everybody. There are things that people like, there are things that people don’t like. But that doesn’t mean that you stop experimenting.”
Triptii Dimri says as an actor she wants to ‘try different things’
In the same conversation, Triptii also shared that as an actor she is always willing to take up different things. She added, "As an actor, I’m trying to do different things. First, I thought that you only needed to know acting to be an actor, and you’re sorted. When things got real, I realised that when you’re offered shows, you should know how to walk properly, when you get offered a dance number, you should know how to dance well."
Triptii has featured in several critically acclaimed films like Bulubul, Qala and Laila Majnu. However, the actress recently found fame with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. She will now be seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, followed by the horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Diwali.
