Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan shares chilling encounter with a stalker

Irish actor Jamie Dornan recently opened up about a harrowing incident involving a stalker. The unsettling encounter occurred prior to the COVID-19 pandemic when a  Fifty Shades Of Grey fan appeared uninvited at Dornan's front door.

Reflecting on the unfortunate situation, Dornan expressed the fear he experienced especially because the incident unfolded while his children were present. The actor in a recent interview with The Independent made this revelation after being prompted to discuss various fan conspiracies surrounding Fifty Shades, including rumours about a secret real-life romance with co-star Dakota Johnson.

Jamie Dornan is happily married to Amelia Warner in real life who is a composer and former actress. The couple shares three daughters and talked about the importance of shielding his family from the potential dangers associated with stalker-like behaviour.

Jamie Dornan opens up on maintaining boundaries

Dornan in the interview acknowledged the challenges of fame and mentioned his efforts to establish boundaries with fans and protect his personal life. Dornan told The Independent, “I tried to put walls up around (the fans), to really try and not let that in. I’m pretty good at just blocking any of the noise associated with whatever fandom is – not letting it affect me, or more importantly my family.”

Jamie Dornan who is best known for his role in Fifty Shades Of Grey has delved into intense character preparations in the past. While preparing for his portrayal of serial killer Paul Spector in The Fall, Dornan revealed immersing himself in the mind of a stalker. Dornan confessed to following a woman on the London Underground as part of his preparation, describing the experience as both exciting and “dirty.”

He shared, “I really kept my distance … she got off a few stops earlier than I was planning so I said right, I have to commit to this. I followed her around a couple of street corners and then was like: "what are you doing?”
