Samay Raina's Old Video Singing In London Resurfaces As Summon Date Nears Amid Ranveer Allahbadia's India's Got Latent Row

Comedian Samay Raina’s reality show India’s Got Latent landed in legal soup after an episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia. Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchlani sparked anger among netizens, over usage of sexual remarks and foul language. Amid the ongoing controversy, a video him singing on the streets of London has gone viral.

In the viral clip, Samay Raina can be seen singing Hey Jude song by the Beatles. The video was shared by a street artist Amir Hashmi on Instagram and claimed. That it was shot in January 2025.

Netizens took to comment section and questioned did he really quit comedy. One user wrote, “titanic jab dub rahi thi aur wo log violin baja rahe the. same vibes”. Another user wrote, “When was it?”. “This is an old video from last year. He sung this in London during his euro trip.”, wrote the third user. This video has gone viral as summon date is nearing.

What is the summon dates issued for Samay Raina?

According to sources of Republic, NCW has set new date for Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh and Balraj Ghai after hearing their requests for their absence. The trio have been asked to appear on March 11. Samay is currently traveling in the USA for a pre-planned tour and has assured the Commission that he will make himself available for a hearing upon his return to India.  Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani and Tushar Poojari's requests have been granted by the commission and their hearing date has been rescheduled for March 6, 2025.

The controversy started after Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps made crass remark about parents and sex. In the aftermath of the backlash, complaints were filed against those who were part of the controversial episode of Latent, leading Samay to take down all episodes of the show from YouTube and India's Got Latent app.
