Shruthi Narayanan Clears Air On Objectionable Leaked Videos | Full Statement Here

Shruthi Narayanan has been in the news after her private videos, claiming to be from the casting couch, were leaked online. On Friday, the Tamil actress broke her silence and hinted that they are AI-generated videos. She penned a lengthy note asking the netizens to not share the videos like 'wild fire' as her family is being affected.

Shruthi Narayanan issues statement on her leaked video

The actress took to her Instagram Stories and shared a note that reads, "For you guys, spreading all these contents on me it's just a joke and fun content. But for me and my close ones this is a very hard situations for us. Especially for me it is a very difficult time, and it's a difficult situation to handle it."

She continued that people who are sharing the video are making her situation worse as her family is going through a rough phase. The actress concluded by saying, "I humbly request you all to not spread everything like wild fire and if it in case go see the videos for your mother or sister or girlfriend because they are also girls and they also have the same bodies like me so go and enjoy their videos."

It was followed by another post that read, "Start being human. Sharing leaked videos, whether real or deepfake, is a criminal offense in India/ Here are the legal provisons under which action can be taken."

Shruthi Narayan, 24, is a Tamil TV actress who has worked in a hit show Siragadikka Aasai.

When Shruthi's casting couch videos surfaced online, people mistook her as a Citadel actress and used her image instead of the former. On noticing this, she took to her Instagram handle and penned a statement issuing the clarification over the identity. She wrote, "I am Shruti Narayann, a Mumbai-based model/actor, who has acted in Citadel: Honey Bunny. Some media outlets have been using my image and profile in a story about a Tamil serial actress whose adult video has gone viral. Media should do a minimum level of diligence on whom they are reporting and not drag unrelated people into controversies."

Apart from Citadel Honey Bunny, Shruti Narayann has also worked with Akshay Kumar in Ram Setu.
