Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt is a multi-talented American actor, writer, director and entrepreneur born on February 17, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. He has established himself in both television and film over the years. In his personal life, the Looper actor is married to Tasha McCauley.

He began his acting career at a young age, making his debut in 1988 with a role in The Next Karate Kid, where he portrayed Michael Lang. Later, his performance in Mystery Men in 1996 brought him further attention, landing him in the role of Tommy Solomon in 3rd Rock from the Sun.
