Veteran stars Meryl Streep and Martin Short are one of the current couple who are grabbing headlines after sources have revealed that they have been dating for quite a while now. The duo have featured together in Selena Gomez's show Only Murders in the Building.

As per several reports, an insider has revealed that, “Meryl couldn’t help but fall for Martin. He is a gentleman, he keeps her laughing and is an all-around positive person. She loves being around him. Their friends and family, including their kids, absolutely approve of they relationship and think they’re adorable together”.

The source has further revealed, “Meryl and Martin have bonded over the loss of their exes. Meryl is still legally married to Don, but even if she were divorced, that’s just not something that she or Martin are interested in”.  However, the couple are yet to address the matter.

As soon as the news of their dating surfaced on social media, netizens couldn’t stop gushing about the couple. One user shared a clip of scene from Only Murders in the Building and wrote in the caption, “Just Meryl Streep and Martin Short getting married in Only Muders in the Building”.

Rumours of their dating began last year when a video clip of the rumoured couple is going viral in which they were seen walking towards the venue hand-in-hand. The co-stars even posed alongside Only Murders in the Building stars Selena Gomez and Steve Martin.

Martin Short-Meryl Streep’s past relationships

Meryl Streep was in two relationships before dating Martin Short. She first dated actor John Cazale, best known for his role in The Godfather (1972), standing by his side as he battled lung cancer until his passing in 1978. She later married Don Gummer, with whom she shared four decades of marriage before their separation in 2017.

Martin Short met Canadian comic actress Nancy Dolman in 1972 during the run of Godspell and got married in 1980. The couple adopted three children Katherine, Oliver, and Henry. Dolman passed away due to ovarian cancer on August 21, 2010.
