Fitting In trailer offers a glimpse into Lindy's world

In the recently released trailer, Ziegler portrays Lindy, a 16-year-old girl navigating the tumultuous waters of teenage life. The character grapples with the weighty decisions surrounding love, identity, and relationships, notably contemplating intimacy with her crush, Adam (played by Woon-A-Tai).

The narrative takes an unexpected turn when Lindy's routine visit to a gynecologist unveils a life-altering revelation—she is diagnosed with MRKH syndrome, a rare reproductive condition. This revelation becomes the fulcrum of Lindy's journey towards self-acceptance and empowerment.

Amid the upheaval, Lindy finds solace and resilience within an LGBTQI support group, illustrating the power of community and self-discovery in the face of life's unexpected challenges.

The official synopsis reads, "A teen girl is diagnosed with a reproductive condition that upends her plans to have a sex life, propelling her to explore unusual methods. Her relationships are challenged with everyone in her life, but most importantly, herself."

Who will feature in the film Fitting In?

Ziegler's poignant portrayal is complemented by the talent of D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, known for his role in Reservation Dogs, as her boyfriend. Emily Hampshire, known for her role in Schitt’s Creek, takes on the pivotal role of Lindy's concerned mother, adding depth to the film's emotional landscape.

Director and writer Molly McGlynn draws from her own adolescence, weaving a narrative that resonates with the complexities of growing up, embracing sexuality, and navigating womanhood amidst unforeseen circumstances. Fitting In is poised for its theatrical debut on February 2, 2024.
