BLACKPINK Jennie offically announces her record label ODD ATELIER

Jennie took to her Instagram handle and posted her new company logo and several profile photos, confirming the launch of her label ODD ATELIER.

Reports of BLACKPINK Jennie launching her own company surfaced online on Sunday, December 24. Hours after the news went viral on social media, the singer officially announced her record label titled ODD ATELIER. She also penned a note addressing her fans. 

Jennie launches ODD ATELIER

Jennie took to her Instagram handle and posted her new company logo and several profile photos. In the caption, she wrote, “Hi, this is Jennie. This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received. I’m also excited about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA. Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, BLACKPINK. Thank you.” 

Jennie is now the CEO of ODD ATELIER

 

"OA, which stands for ODD ATELIER, is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected, It is a label founded by artist Jennie in November 2023,” was the official description of the label on its website. The website, which is presently unavailable due to excessive traffic, provides a glimpse of Jennie's creative vision and dedication to non-traditional works.

Jennie’s association with BLACKPINK 

In addition to her solo endeavours, Jennie will also take part in the group activities of BLACKPINK. The K-pop idol, with the other three members of the group, renewed her band contract with YG Entertainment. The news was confirmed by the label on December 6 with an official statement that read, “We are pleased to announce that our board of directors has successfully agreed on the signing of exclusive group contracts for all four members of BLACKPINK, our talented artists."

The news that the quartet is re-signing with YG Entertainment made a significant impact on the company’s stocks. Their stock saw a remarkable surge of 20% after the news of BLACKPINK’s contract renewal surfaced online.
