Neru director Jeethu Joseph reveals why his daughters voiced concern over the film's script

Jeethu Joseph, director of Neru, shared that before anyone else, he let his daughters read the script and the second one expressed her worries.

Jeethu Joseph, the director of the movie Neru, shared that before anyone else, he let his daughters read the script. He mentioned that his second daughter expressed worries about making the movie when discussing it with his wife, Santhi. This happened because the script wasn't complete and had lots of complex legal conversations, which made his daughter question if it was a good idea.

Jeethu admits feeling pressurised

During a celebration event for the success of Neru in Kochi on December 24, Jeethu Joseph talked to the media. He mentioned feeling a bit pressured because the movie's producer, Antony Perumbavoor, had a lot of confidence in him. Jeethu appreciated the efforts of the entire cast and crew for their hard work. He admitted that although he usually doesn't speak much, he was feeling very happy about the movie's success and the positive response from the audience.

The audience has been praising Neru, a courtroom drama starring Mohanlal, Priyamani, Jagadish, Anaswara Rajan, Sidhique, and Ganesh Kumar. People are calling it a strong comeback for Mohanlal. The movie earned around ₹3 crore on its first day. Before the release, Jeethu Joseph mentioned that Neru isn't like his usual films; it doesn't have suspenseful or thrilling moments. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, "Neru" will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar after its run in theaters.

Neru box office report

Released on December 21, Neru has managed to earn ₹2.8 crore on day 1, ₹2.1 crore on day 2, ₹3 crore on day 3 and approximately ₹4.08 cr on day 4. The total collection of the movie according to Sacnilk amounts to ₹11.98 crore. Despite the buzz around Prabhas' Salaar, Neru continues to scale to the best of its capability.
