Phoenix on OTT: Aju Varghese starrer Malayalam horror thriller to premiere on THIS platform

Vishnu Bharathan made his directorial debut with Phoenix earlier this year and earned massive praise for it. Released on November 17, this Malayalam horror thriller starred Aju Varghese, Anoop Menon and Chandhunadh in lead roles.

For the ones awaiting to watch Phoenix, the movie is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Aju Varghese took to Instagram and announced the OTT release and wrote, “#Phoenix after a fair run in theaters is coming to our homes in @amazonprime from today midnight at 12. Would love to hear your feedback for those who didn’t try in theatres.”

When Anoop Menon talked about Phoenix

In an old interview with OTT Play, actor Anoop shared how the movie is a dark thriller and ‘the USP of Phoenix is that it is new – it’s a mix of horror and romance.’ He said that Hollywood already had such movies, but it is a new thing for the Malayalam industry. He added, “People, who weren’t associated with the movie but saw it, liked it because it presented something new. And the best part is that it emotionally connects with the audience.”

Phoenix is a horror movie that revolves around a family of five who move to a new home near a beach. The story starts when the main character, John, and his family move to a village on a faraway island to start a new life. But things don't go as planned, and scary things start happening.
