Mark Antony Box Office Collection: Vishal starrer crosses ₹50 crore mark in nine days

Mark Antony, starring Vishal, turned out to be a sleeper hit at the box office as the film crossed the ₹50 crore mark in the second weekend of its release. On the second Saturday, the film witnessed a rise in the collection, taking the total to ₹55.05 crore.

Mark Antony earns ₹ 5 crore on Second Saturday

Helmed by Adhik Ravichandran, the science fiction-action drama, collected ₹5 crore on Saturday (September 23), as per a report in Sacnilk. Adding the Saturday's earnings, the total now stands at ₹55.05 crore, against the budget of ₹40 crore. On the first day of its release, the film opened with ₹8.5 in India. Since then, the film witnessed a rise in the collection but failed in the Monday test. Since then, the film has been steady at the box office.

 

Most of its collection has come from Tamil Nadu, where the overall occupancy was 33 per cent, as per Sacnilk. The film is also gaining reviews from Malayali audiences, seemingly indicating its growing popularity in the state.

The film revolves around a gangster Mark, who comes in possession of a mobile phone which has some extraordinary ability of time travel. The film stars Vishal and S. J. Suryah in dual roles, alongside Ritu Varma, Selvaraghavan, Sunil and Abhinaya. The music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography and editing are handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam and Vijay Velukutty.
