Hanu Man on OTT: Teja Sajja starrer fantasy film's rights acquired by THIS streaming platform?

The makers of Hanu Man are gearing up for their film's theatrical release, slated for the Sankranti weekend. Even ahead of the film's release in theatres however, there have been reports of Hanu Man's OTT debut. The latest rumours in this regard suggest that the film's digital streaming rights have already been acquired.

Hanu Man's OTT rights acquired?

As per the latest reports doing the rounds of the internet, the OTT streaming rights of the fantasy film have been acquired by Zee5. A recent Filmi Beat reports suggests that the film is eying its digital debut post a sixty day window from its theatrical release - slated for January 12. This puts the rumoured digital debut date of the Teja Sajja starrer at March 15. 

Hanu Man is reportedly the first film of the Prashanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). It is set in the fictional town of Anjanadri. Besides Teja Sajja, the film also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty, and Vinay Rai.

What to expect from Hanu Man?

For the unversed, Hanu Man is being set up as a superhero franchise. In a recent media interaction, director Prashanth Varma clarified how the film will be along the lines of the Hrithik Roshan led superhero franchise Krrish. Varma further shared that Teja Sajja's character will be endowed with the powers of Lord Hanuman. 

He said, "Hanu Man will be along the lines of Krrish. Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish is a superhero film, and Hanu Man is also a superhero film. What happens when a normal person gets superpowers? This is the crux of both films. Here in Hanu Man, the protagonist will get the powers of Lord Hanuman. Hanu Man will also follow the same template of a superhero film."
