The much-anticipated sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian featuring Kamal Haasan, helmed by the legendary director Shankar, has been in production for an extended period. Recently, the film crew concluded the Chennai schedule of Indian 2, marking a significant milestone in the film's progress.

Having been in production for several years, Indian 2 is steadily moving towards completion. The latest Chennai schedule, spanning a few weeks, reached its conclusion, taking the film one step closer to its final phase. With approximately 95% of the filming already done, director Shankar has a sole song sequence left to shoot, indicating the film's imminent wrap-up. Anticipated to culminate by February, the entire shoot for 'Indian 2' and its sequel, 'Indian 3,' is anticipated to finalize soon, culminating in a much-awaited announcement from the production team.

Kamal Haasan's Return as Senapathy

The sequel brings back Kamal Haasan in his iconic role as Senapathy, continuing the character's socially conscious stance from the original film. With director Shankar at the helm, the narrative is set to amplify Senapathy's crusade against societal issues.
