Jayam-Aarti Divorce Row: On September 9, the PS 2 actor took to his social media account to share the news of his separation from his wife Aarti, 15 years after their marriage. The news came as a shock to the fans of the actor. Recently, there are speculations going around that the actor’s another relationship is the main reason behind their divorce.

According to a Tamil investigative magazine Nakheeran, Jayam Ravi’s secret relationship with a Bangaloe based singer Kenishaa Francis is said to be the real reason for the split between the Ponniyin Selvan actor and his estranged partner Aarti.

Reportedly, Jayam and the singer were fined by traffic police in Goa for overspending in June the same car which was used by the singer. The usage of the same car by the duo indirectly hinted at their relationship. The alert about the fine was sent to Aarti’s phone sparked an argument.

Followed up by this, the situation was further strained when Jayam Ravi avoided to celebrate his 14th wedding anniversary with family and Aarti. Reportedly, Jayam Ravi had also purchased a bungalow in Goa , allegedly with Kenishaa Francis.

Days after the actor's note of divorce announcement, a conflicting statement came from his estranged wife Aarti, who alleged that the divorce announcement was made without her consent. There were also reports of Aarti’s mother Sujatha Vijayakumar and her adopted son Shankar being the reason for divorce.

Who is Kenishaa Francis?

Kenishaa Francis is a singer and performer who made her mark in Goa ’s local pub. According to report of Mathrubhumi, she has even collaborated with actor Jiiva on a Tamil music album, which expanded her singing prowess in South Indian entertainment industry.

Kenishaa was reportedly introduced to Jayam Ravi during one of his frequent Goa trips with his college friends. He reportedly became a fan of Kenishaa’s voice and the two soon developed a friendship.
