Vettaiyan OTT Release: Rajinikanth Starrer To Premiere On THIS Digital Platform

Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan has released in theatres on October 10 ahead of Dusshera. The TJ Gnanavel directorial has received a mix response on social media. Reportedly, just right after the release, Vettaiyan’s OTT platform has reportedly been finalised.

Which OTT platform has acquired the rights for Vettaiyan’s digital release?

According to reports, Vettaiyan’s digital release has been finalised for Amazon Prime Video and have been paid a significant amount to obtain the rights. The precise date of the OTT release has not been disclosed yet. Reports suggest that after the conclusion of theatrical run, the film will be releasing on OTT by mid-November or the end of this year.

The Rajinikanth starrer has earned around ₹18.05 crore in India on its first day for all languages. Vettaiyan had an overall 53.73% Tamil Occupancy on Thursday, ie, October 10. The occupancy of morning shows are 53.95%, with highest recorded in Pondicherry (87.50%), followed by Trichy (82.50%), Chennai (74.50%), Coimbatore (72%), Dindigul (59.50%), Vellore (51.50%) and Madurai (42%). The Telugu version of the film had an overall 34.94%.

The film opened to mixed reviews, with many criticising the film, while appreciating the acting skills of the cast as well. Several social media users took to X to express their opinions and shared their reviews of the film as well.
