Ravi Teja led Mr Bachchan team to attend Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 opening ceremony in Mumbai
Ravi Teja will be starring in Mr. Bachchan, the official Telugu remake of Ajay Devgn's 2018 Hindi release Raid. Devgn is currently shooting for Raid 2.

Earlier last year, fans of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja were in for a pleasant surprise in lieu of the official announcement that was made about the Eagle actor's next big banner project. Ravi Teja's next, Mr. Bachchan - Naam Toh Suna Hoga, will be a politically charged social drama, following directly from the premise of Ajay Devgn's 2018 Hindi film, Raid. Devgn, who will now commence work on Raid 2.
Team Mr. Bachchan to grace Raid 2's opening ceremony
As per a 123Telugu report, team Mr. Bachchan - led by Ravi Teja, director Harish Shankar and producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla - will be gracing the opening ceremony of Raid 2, as Ajay Devgn commences shooting for the film. A picture of team Mr. Bachchan en route to Mumbai to attend the same has been doing the rounds of the internet.
Mr. Bachchan is an official remake of Devgn's Raid, the rights to which were given to the producers by Devgn. Devgn had also shared a shoutout for Ravi Teja when the announcement poster of Mr. Bachchan was shared. Returning the gesture, the Telugu film's team will now be showing their token of support for Ajay Devgn and his new project.
Raid 2 is eyeing a November 2024 release
Earlier today, news broke of Ajay Devgn commencing the shoot for Raid 2. The film will see him reprise the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The team is currently filming for the production in Mumbai and will soon make their way over Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Raid 2 is eyeing a release on November 15 this year.
While the first film is based on the premise of the longest income tax raid conducted in the history of India - that on industrialist Sardar Inder Singh - no information has been released regarding the premise of Raid 2.
