Shraddha Srinath is currently awaiting the release of her next film, Saindhav. The Venkatesh led emotional drama only recently released the trailer of the film, giving a glimpse into what the audience can expect. While Srinath has featured in a series of projects off late - she has four releases lined up for 2024 - one cannot help but notice her extremely selective presence in the Telugu film industry. The actress recently addressed the same.
Shraddha Srinath says she has 'high standards'
For the unversed, Shraddha Srinath marked her Tollywood debut back in 2019 with Gautham Tinnanuri film Jersey. While she earned a lot of praise for the role, she has featured in only two Telugu films since then - Jodi and Krishna and His Leela with Saindhav being her fourth ever Tollywood project. This, while she has actively been working across all other Indian film industries - the actress recently addressed the same.
As per a recent 123Telugu report, she said, "If I don’t like a script, I don’t do it. My standards are very high. If I am doing something after Jersey, it should be an equally good film as Jersey or an even better film. I have got many offers after Jersey. At some level, I got stereotyped." Besides Saindhav, Shraddha has three other projects in the pipeline. These include Kannada film Rudraprayag, Tamil film Kaliyugam and Hindi film Letters to Mr. Khanna. The actress is still filming for Rudraprayag while the remaining two projects are in post-production.
Saindhav is headed for a massive Sankranti box office clash
Saindhav will be releasing in theatres on January 13. The film will be directly clashing with Karthik Ghattamaneni's Ravi Teja led Eagle. A day prior, Mahesh Babu's Trivikram Srinivas directorial Guntur Kaaram, Prashanth Varma's Teja Sajja film Hanu Man and Nag Ashwin's Prabhas led pan-India project Kalki 2898 AD, is slated for release. Additionally, January 14 is reserved for Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga.
Additionally, Tamil releases - namely Dhanush's Captain Miller, Rajinikanth's Lal Salaam and Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan will also be populating shows in the same weekend. It will be interesting to see which films come out on top.
