Popular Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu recently made a brief appearance in the Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire which released on Friday, December 29. In Salaar, Jagapathi Babu was seen playing the role of the all-mighty king Raja Mannar who is in charge of entire Khansaar empire. While Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire set up the premise for how Varadha Mannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran) ends up acquiring the throne, part 2 of the series promises to explore what led to the rift between two friends Deva and Varadha. In a recent interview, Jagapathi Babu opened up on what more one can expect from Salaar part 2.

In the said interview, Jagapathi Babu stated, “My character’s foundation was laid in Part 1; it’s more of an introduction for part 2, which is going to be more solid. I’m looking forward to that.” While talking about his role in part 1, Jagapathi Babu also praised Sriya Reddy in the film, adding, “she’s done a great job in the film.”
In another recent media interaction, the Telugu actor had mentioned how Prashanth Neel decided to expand his role in part 1 after the completion of his shoot schedule, deciding to add the plot point of Raja Mannar’s return to the Khansaar empire.

Salaar expected to touch 500 crore mark this weekend
Meanwhile, Salaar continues a steady run at the box office both at domestic and global turf. As of December 28, the film’s global box office figures stand at 468 crore gross. For its Hindi version, Salaar is expected to touch the 100 crore nett mark by Saturday 30.

Producer by Hombale film, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire also stars Shruti Haasan, Eeswari Rao and Tinnu Anand in its supporting cast. The makers of Salaar have not announced a tentative release plan for part 2, yet.
