SSMB29: SS Rajamouli Reacts Strongly When Asked About Mahesh Babu Starrer, Video Goes Viral

SSMB29 Update: The pre-production work of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project, tentatively titled SSMB29, has kickstarted with a major update now coming through. In a recent video when Rajamouli was asked about the current development, he reacted strongly. His response has now gone viral, with many questioning when will the film be officially launched?

In the viral clip, a humorous conversation took place between Mathu Vadalara 2 actor Sai Simha, music director Kaala Bhairava and RRR filmmaker SS Rajamouli. When asked about the latest update about his upcoming project SSMB29, he pulled out a stick and shooed them away.

The viral video ended with the director endorsing the movie and encouraging everyone to book their tickets. Produced by the Mythri Movie Makers, the film stars Ajay, Sunil, Vennela Kishore and Jhansi. Mathu Vadalara 2 is scheduled to release on September 13.

SSMB29 writer V Vijayendra Prasad had earlier confirmed that the script for the film is locked and it will go on the floors later this year. The Mahesh Babu starrer is described as a globe-trotting jungle action adventure film. The movie is said to be shot in the jungles of Africa and will be heavy on VFX.  

It is expected that the Guntur Kaaram star will devote himself totally to the role for 2-3 years. Additionally, it has been reported that Mahesh Babu will also come onboard the project as a partner and will not charge any fees for the movie.

For the unversed, the film was  announced at the special screening of his film RRR in Japan, filmmaker SS Rajamouli had spoken a little bit about the film.

He said, “We started my next film. We completed the writing, we are in the pre-production process...But we haven't finished the casting yet. Only the main hero is locked, the protagonist of the film is locked. His name is  Mahesh Babu , he is a Telugu actor. Looks like many of you already know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release, I will bring him here, and I'll introduce him to you. I'm sure you will love him as well.”
