BJP strong in HP but there is need to sharpen it: State chief Bindal

Newly-appointed Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajeev Bindal on Saturday met senior party leaders, including former chief minister Shanta Kumar, and discussed ways to sharpen the BJP's functioning in the state.

Newly-appointed Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajeev Bindal on Saturday met senior party leaders, including former chief minister Shanta Kumar, and discussed ways to sharpen the BJP's functioning in the state.

"The organisation is strong but there is a need to sharpen it," he said after a meeting with Kumar at his residence in Palampur. The closed door meeting with Kumar last for about an hour.

Bindal also met former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, senior leader Suresh Bhardwaj, former state president Satpal Singh Satti. He said he met the leaders to seek their guidance.

Bindal was appointed president of the BJP's Himachal Pradesh unit on January 18.
