50-year-old man calls minor girl 'very hot' and touches her inappropriately, gets 3-year jail term
The court established that the accused had a history of stalking the girl, contributing to her sexual harassment.

Mumbai: In a significant verdict, a special court has ordered a three-year imprisonment to a 50-year-old man for inappropriately touching a minor girl and making derogatory remarks. The man had indicated an intent to commit sexual assault by calling the minor ‘hot’. The judgment, delivered by Special POCSO Court Judge S.C. Jadhav on December 14, found the accused guilty under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code related to stalking, molestation under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
A comprehensive order of the court detailing the case particulars was made available on Saturday which shed light on the incident dating back to May 24, 2016, when the victim was merely 13 years old. Based on the collective testimonies of the victim and prosecution witnesses, the court concluded that on the mentioned date, the victim, accompanied by a friend was standing near a mosque when the accused inappropriately touched her. The court further emphasised that the accused not only touched her but also made highly inappropriate comments, referring to her as ‘very hot’ and expressed desires to kiss her cheeks. He also indicated a wish to take her away with him.
"Touching the girl inappropriately and uttering such words itself suggests that the accused had committed the act with no other reason, but only with the sexual intent to commit sexual assault", the court noted.
Moreover, the court established that the accused had a history of stalking the girl, contributing to her sexual harassment.
