Aaditya Thackeray in Massive Trouble as More Details Emerge in Disha Salian Death Case

Mumbai: Five years after Disha Salian’s mysterious death, her father, Satish Salian, has moved the Bombay High Court, demanding a fresh investigation into the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s demise.

In a major development, he has also called for an investigation into the alleged role of Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray in both Disha’s and Sushant Singh Rajput’s deaths. His plea urges the court to direct the registration of an FIR against Thackeray and hand over the case to the CBI.

Satish’s lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, confirmed that they are in the process of filing the petition and will have it numbered at the HC registry department on Thursday. He further alleged that Disha was “brutally raped and murdered” and that a politically motivated cover-up was orchestrated to shield influential figures. The plea argues that the Mumbai Police hastily declared Disha’s death a case of suicide or accidental fall without considering key forensic evidence.

Allegations of a Cover-Up and Suspicious Details

In an exclusive interview with Republic Media Network’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami , Satish Salian linked his daughter’s death on June 8, 2020, to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death just days later, on June 14. Revealing disturbing details, advocate Nilesh Ojha stated that since day one, Satish Salian had raised concerns about the suspicious circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death.

He questioned how there was not a single bloodstain on the ground or on Disha’s clothes, despite her alleged fall from the 14th floor. More importantly, the body received by the family after the post-mortem allegedly had no injuries on the head, face, or body—contradicting the injuries expected from such a high fall. Ojha further alleged that when Disha was murdered when Uddhav Thackeray’s government was in power.

Pressure Mounts on Aaditya Thackeray

Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray has not yet issued a statement regarding the allegations. However, his party questioned why the matter had resurfaced after five years, alleging a conspiracy against him.

“I am gathering information on the plea filed by Disha Salian’s father. This now seems like part of a conspiracy,” NCP-SCP leader & former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve defended Thackeray, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) was behind the accusations.

“I believe this matter is now in court. We don’t know what Disha’s father has said, but Aaditya Thackeray is a mature and young leader,” Danve stated.
“The BJP is conspiring to defame him and put pressure on him. We don’t need to respond to this conspiracy—the court will provide the answers.”

Sanjay Raut also questioned the timing of Satish Salian’s petition, alleging that efforts were being made to tarnish the Thackeray family’s reputation.

Disha Salian Death: What We Know So Far

Disha Salian, former manager of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, allegedly died by suicide on June 8, 2020, after reportedly jumping from a high-rise building in Mumbai’s Malad area. She was 28.

Her death occurred just days before Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide on June 14. These incidents sparked widespread speculation that both cases were linked.

In December 2022, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe Salian’s death.
