It has been pointed out that several people have been asked to come to Delhi by the top brass, but it is not clear with whom the meeting and talks are scheduled.

MLAs Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Aravind Bellada, Shivaram Hebbar, ST Somashekar, H Vishwanath, former Minister V Somanna and over a dozen leaders are likely to leave for Delhi soon.

Former minister and senior BJP leader V Somanna speaking to Republic confirmed, "Soon, three to four people will go to Delhi and hold talks with the BJP high command. Then I will announce my next decision. We will convince the top leadership what has happened in the assembly elections. I am not even a ticket aspirant for the Lok Sabha elections. But I will take up the responsibility given by the party."

The posts of the party's state president and leader of opposition in the assembly have been filled. BJP state unit hopes that the senior leaders who meet them will be pacified by telling them what they are going to meet and if the top brass calls them and talks, the resentment will be resolved.

BJP MLC Chalavadi Narayanaswamy speaking to Republic said, "We have also attended dinner meetings called by leaders of other parties but it was completely devoid of any political alignments. It was strictly a cordial meet and we were all meeting in such huge numbers together after many years."

On December 13, there was a CLP meet called by the Congress party at a private resort in Belagavi while the winter session was underway.

After the CLP meet, the DyCM DK Shivakumar had hosted a dinner party for a few select BJP and JDS leaders.

The DyCM also confirmed that around 10 BJP legislators were a part of the dinner meet but was completely apolitical.

DK Shivakumar speaking on December 15 to Republic said, "I have friends from all the political parties and irrespective of ideologies, we have been friends. Yes I hosted a different party but all the conversation that was held had no political colour to it."

The BJP is especially worried with many leaders targeting the BJP state president and LoP therefore several senior leaders have been summoned to the national capital in connection with this.

BJP wants to ensure that they set the house in order before the Lok Sabha polls and there wouldn't be any problem for the party to secure over 20 seats out of 28 seats.

The BJP in 2019 has won 25 seats out of 28 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
