Sampark Kranti Express Derails at Jammu Railway Station, Passengers Stranded

Jammu: The engine of the Sampark Kranti Express has derailed at the Jammu Railway Station shortly after its departure for Udhampur on Thrusday. So far, no injury or casualty has been reported. However, the incident has led to disruptions in the train's schedule, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.

Emergency response teams rushed to the spot and ensured safety of passengers and initiated efforts to assess the situation. Railway authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the cause of the derailment, aiming to ascertain the factors contributing to this unforeseen occurrence.

As the train arrived at the railway station from New Delhi, one of the engine's wheels derailed, bringing the train to an abrupt halt, officials reported.

After a two-hour delay, the engine was re-railed, allowing the train to resume its journey, they added.

Railway authorities are currently investigating the cause of the derailment.. Meanwhile, authorities are working diligently to restore normalcy to train operations and minimise the inconvenience faced by the commuters.
