Himachal Pradesh Covid advisory: Amid rising cases of JN.1 variant of Coroanvirus, health department of Himachal Pradesh has issued advisory on Tuesday, December 26. The new advisory has asked to ramp-up testing and implement necessary precautions. 

Patients with symptoms like cold, fever or cough are advised to take a Covid test, said Una CMO Dr Sanjeev Kumar. In cases of respiratory diseases like influenza, cough, cold, sore throat, runny nose, headache and fever, all patients should get an RT-PCR test done immediately, the advisory said.

Residents of the state have also been advised to wear masks at public places. The chief medical officers in the state have been directed test patients with Covid-like symptoms. 

India has recorded 69 cases of Covid JN.1 variant, as per official sources.
