Crackdown on Corruption: Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Approves Prosecution of 7 Officers For Graft

Jaipur: Taking stringent action against the state government officials, Rajasthan government has approved the prosecution of seven officers in connection with five cases under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act. 

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed and disposed of 13 cases that required his approval for legal action and disciplinary measures against state service officials, an official statement said. 

“CM granted approval for the prosecution of seven officers involved in five separate corruption-related cases. These cases fall under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, which aims to strengthen anti-corruption measures and hold public servants accountable for their actions,” an official statement said. 

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized that women play a crucial role in building strong and developed nations, stating that the path to development cannot be complete without the involvement of half the population.

He made these remarks while inaugurating the Shakti Vandan India's Self-Honor Festival at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Saturday. 

“Our government is working with commitment to provide development -oriented environment to women in the state,” the CM said.

He said that Lokmata Ahilyabai has left a permanent heritage from her life and actions. 

Sharma highlighted that in our timeless culture, we revere Maa Durga for strength, Maa Lakshmi for wealth, and Maa Saraswati for wisdom. He further stated that the Shakti Vandan Festival represents a significant step in the ongoing efforts toward empowering women.
