Nigerian arrested at Delhi airport with contraband
The Customs officials recovered 471 grams of prohibited Methaqualone drug from the Nigerian.

A Nigerian national was arrested at the Delhi airport for allegedly carrying prohibited contraband secretly concealed in his luggage. The Customs officials deployed at the airport seized the drug and initiated an investigation into the matter.
According to the Customs officials, the action was taken against the accused based on the spot profiling technique. The Nigerian national was intercepted at the airport after the Customs team detected his suspicious activity near green channel.
Nigerian passenger had arrived from Addis Ababa
The passenger was taken to an isolated place for questioning and examination. During the examination, the officials recovered 471 grams of prohibited Methaqualone drug from the Nigerian worth around Rs 23.55 Lakh. He revealed during the interrogation that he brought the drug from Addis Ababa and was to supply the drug to his associate in Delhi.
The recovered drug was seized by the Customs department and the passenger was arrested under NDPS Act. Further, an investigation is being conducted.
