Severed male body parts stuffed in two plastic bags recovered from drain in Delhi

DCP Jimmy Chiram said that body parts of a male packed in two polythene bags were recovered from an open drain in Delhi’s Baprola Village on Thursday.

In a sensational incident, chopped body parts of a male packed in two plastic bags were recovered from an open drain in Delhi’s Baprola Village on Thursday. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Ranhola police station of Outer District. On information, the police team immediately reached and inspected the spot and shifted the body parts to a mortuary for postmortem.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer District), Jimmy Chiram confirmed the incident saying that the body parts of the deceased have been preserved and a case of murder has been registered at Ranhola police station. He said that multiple teams have been assigned the task to solve the murder mystery and nab the accused behind the incident.

Briefing about the incident on Thursday, the DCP stated, “At 9.27 am, a PCR call was received from a local resident that a polythene is lying in the drain at Baprola Village on Nangloi-Najafgarh road, Delhi, in which someone’s arms and legs are found. Police team immediately reached the spot and found a transparent polythene bag lying in an opening in the drain.”

“On checking the polythene bag, it was found to contain body parts. Later, another polythene was found with the lower part of a male body around 1 km away on the same road side,” DCP Chiram said.

Following the incident, the crime team visited the site and body parts were moved to the mortuary. Search for other parts is in progress.

The police official stated that efforts are being made to identify the deceased and solve the crime. Further investigation into the matter is being taken.
