New Delhi: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, wanted by India for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has been hospitalised in Pakistan's Karachi after severe health complications, sources said on Monday adding that he was poisoned.
However, there is no confirmation by the government or hospital authorities on the same. He had been in the hospital for two days, sources claimed.
Several Pakistan-based social media platforms claimed that Underworld don Dawood has been poisoned by unknown people. However, there's no official confirmation on the social media reports.
He was then admitted to a hospital in Karachi, where he is undergoing treatment. The reports also claimed that Dawood’s condition is critical, and he is being kept under tight security.

Amid speculations over Dawood's health conditions, the internet services has been shut down at several places in Pakistan, claimed reports. Google services are down across the country, it added.
The 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind and India's most wanted, Dawood has reportedly been in Pakistan for decades. The devastating bombings resulted in the killing of over 250 people and left thousands injured, according to official reports.
In January, the son of Haseena Parker, Dawood's sister, informed the National Investigating Agency that Dawood stays in Karachi after marrying for the second time.
The NIA also claimed in its chargesheet against Dawood Ibrahim that he and his top aides control Pakistan's Karachi airport.
