After skipping the summons by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked ED to reply to his letter on issues raised by him. He also said that he was busy with Republic Day preparations, and that the summons were illegal and invalid.
Kejriwal also claimed that the summons was a bid to tarnish his reputation. He further said that ED is being “obstinate” and has not replied to his concerns. “I infer you are maintaining unwarranted secrecy. You are being opaque and arbitrary,” he said to ED.
Claiming "malafide considerations", Kejriwal skipped the summons in the excise policy case yet again. He emphasized that similar notices were held illegal by courts.
