Jayanta Doley and Priyanka Deka, who were serving as Tax Superintendents, until they were placed under suspension by the State government after being named in the BK Sarma Commission report, failed the mains exam of the Assam Public Service Commission. However, with the 'blessings' of Rakesh Paul, the then tainted Chairman of the APSC, they sailed through the mains and the viva to get into the government services.

This could have been possible through manipulation of the tabulation sheets, in the previous report on this scam, Republic Digital had highlighted how the tabulation sheets were manipulated, here in this Republic digital bringing you again the details of the marks obtained genuinely and the marks that were reflected through the tabulation sheets.

Not just in these two subjects alone, in the History I Paper too, manipulation was done. Jayanta obtained 87 marks in his elected subject and in the tabulation sheet, it was made 151.

Similarly, Priyanka Deka, who was Tax Superintendent too, failed in the Mains exam of the APSC. Priyanka secured 94 marks in her elected subject Paper I, Law and 62 marks in Paper II, however, in the tabulation sheet it was made 114 and 102 respectively. In Social Studies marks obtained was 93, but the same was made 123 in the tabulation sheet.
