Good news for Noida! Metro direct line from Sector 142 to Botanical Garden gets nod | Check routes

The proposed project will directly connect Greater Noida with Delhi Metro’s Magenta and Blue Lines at Botanical Garden.

New Delhi: In a significant step towards making travelling convenient for commuters in the Delhi-NCR, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed metro section from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden. The planned section will directly connect Greater Noida with Delhi Metro’s Magenta and Blue Lines at  Botanical Garden. The decision was taken during NMRC’s 38th board meeting. 

The proposed metro section

Rs 2254.35 crore-project to have 8 eight stations

The project completion cost has been evaluated at Rs 2254.35 crore. The metro section will have eight stations- Botanical Garden, Noida Sector 44, Noida Karyalay, Noida Sector 97, Noida Sector 105, Noida Sector 108, Noida Sector 93 and Panchsheel Balak Inter College. The plan to extend the Aqua line metro network will benefit the residents of Noida Sector 44, 45, 97, 99, 100, 104, 105, 108, 93. 

The metro line will span a length of about 11.56km. This project is expected to incluse the provision for multi-modal integration.

Magenta Line to Delhi airport connectivity:

This project will provide direct connectivity to Delhi Airport (Terminal-1) through Magenta line of Delhi Metro.

Blue Line to Railway stations:

The proposed second arm of Aqua Line also aims to provide direct connectivity to New Delhi Railway Station and Anand Vihar Railway station through Blue Line.

A daily footfall of about 80,000 people is being anticipated at the metro section.
