Meerut: The victim in the Meerut murder case had both his hands cut off from the wrist and his legs were bent backwards, according to an autopsy report.
The report mentioned that Saurabh Rajput's head had been severed from his body suggesting an effort to conceal the body in a drum.
Shock and severe blood loss has been determined as the cause of death, autopsy report said.
Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh said Saurabh's partner Muskan had stabbed the victim’s heart and the whole body was cut into four pieces.
Senior Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada said that the police department will try to push the legal proceedings through a fast track court.
"We will try to run the case in a fast-track court so that the accused get punished as soon as possible," police official said.

Muskan Rastogi, the wife of the Merchant Navy officer murdered in Meerut, successfully concealed the crime, misled the police, and deceived family, friends, and acquaintances.
After committing the murder and disposing of her husband's remains, she locked the house and went on a vacation to Shimla-Manali with her boyfriend. She told her neighbors and family that she was traveling to Himachal Pradesh with her husband, Saurabh.
During the three-day trip, she continued to post photos and videos on Instagram using Saurabh's phone, creating the illusion that everything was normal and preventing any suspicion from arising.
The incident was reported to the police on March 18, after which Muskan and Sahil were arrested.
