Jaipur: In what appears to be a rerun of the gruesome murder of a Merchant Navy officer in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, a man in Jaipur was killed by his wife and her lover, and then the two were seen carrying the body of the deceased on a bike, shocking visuals of which have emerged.

Jaipur Horror: Man Killed by Wife and Her Lover, 

A man, identified as Dhannalal Saini, was brutally murdered by his wife and her lover, after he got suspicious about his wife's affair. On questioning his wife about her extra-marital affair, his wife Gopali Devi and her lover Deendayal hit the victim's head with an iron rod, killing him on the spot.

The murder came to light after a half-burnt body was found near a main rod, under the jurisdiction of Muhana Police Station and the cops were informed. The body of the deceased was dumped on the road side in a jute bag, in an attempt to destroy the evidence of the bone-chilling murder.

Body Burnt, Wife and Her Lover Carry Remains on Bike; CCTV Clip Emerges

The two accused then try to dispose off the body and get rid of the evidence, by trying to burn it. However, when they weren't as successful, they wrapped the half-burnt body in a jute bag and then in a white sheet and carried it away on a bike. A CCTV footage of the lover riding the bike and the wife sitting behind with the half-burnt body of her husband in her hands. 

As reported by ANI, Digant Anand, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP South) said, “On March 16, in the afternoon, we received information that a half-brunt body was found under the jurisdiction of Muhana police station near the main road. ACP Mansarovar and SHO Muhana, with the team, reached the spot. Prima facie, it seemed like that someone killed the deceased and burnt the body to get rid of evidence.”

He further said, “There was an attempt to hide the body and destroy evidence. Both accused put the body in a sack and dumped it roadside. The accused have been taken into custody, and the entire matter was made clear upon interrogation.”

Merchant Navy Officer Murder Rerun in Jaipur: 5 Shocking Similarities Between Two Cases

The murder of the man in Jaipur instantly reminds one of the murder of the Merchant Navy officer in murder. While the intrinsic details may be a little different, the two heinous crimes have shocking similarities between them.

  1. Firstly, in both the cases, the man has been brutally murdered by his wife and her lover. Both cases show involve an extra-marital affair of the woman and in both murders, the wife has been assisted by her boyfriend.
  2. In both Jaipur and Meerut Murders, the two accused have made desperate attempts to conceal the crime, hide and dispose off the body of the husbands and escape any kind of suspicion.
  3. While Muskan Rastogi, one of the accused in the Merchant Navy officer's murder case, along with her lover, cut her husband's body into several pieces and dumped them in a cement drum; Gopali Devi, the accused in the Jaipur Horror, tried to burn off her husband's body, to get rid of the evidence.
  4. In both the cases, it is the failure to conceal the crime and the body of the deceased, that led to the arrest of the accused. While in the Meerut case, the labourer taking away the cement drum informed the cops after a foul smell, the half-burnt body of the Jaipur man dumped on the road in a jute bag, helped the cops catch Gopali Devi and her boyfriend. 
  5. Investigation in both cases is underway and two arrests each have been made in both cases - the wife and her lover in both the murders have been taken under police custody. 

The horrifying murders with eerie similarities, reported just at the difference of 24 hours, is disturbing and alarming.
