Headless body recovered from Chennai's drinking water lake, probe underway

Sources alleged that the man's body was intentionally tied to a rock and thrown into the lake in order to hide it.

Chennai: A horrifying incident came to limelight from Tamil Nadu's capital that will give you jitters. A body was found without head and limbs in a drinking water lake on Saturday, December 30.

As per media reports, the body was recovered from the Chembarambakka Lake in Chennai by a group of fishermen. Furthermore, after a subsequent search, a severed leg was also recovered.

Anonymous sources familiar with the investigation revealed that the person who died, is believed to be around 30 years old and bore a stab wound in the stomach.

They alleged that the man's body was intentionally tied to a rock and thrown into the lake in order to hide it.

Police is currently investigating the matter and further details are awaited.
