Bengaluru: A heart pounding video has surfaced online showing two forest officials running for their lives as a wild elephant chases them in Karnataka’s Hassan district. The incident took place in Arehalli village, Belur taluk, where the officials were monitoring elephant movements.
The two men, identified as Prashant and Sunil, were part of the Elephant Task Force (ETF) deployed in the area. They were tracking a wild elephant in a coffee plantation owned by a local resident, Zulfi, when the situation took a dangerous turn. A lone tusker, named Vikrant, suddenly charged at them, forcing them to flee.
On Tuesday morning, forest officials successfully captured another wild elephant from Shanti Estate in Halligade village, Belur taluk. The elephant was lifted onto a lorry using a crane and was later released into the forest. Authorities continue to monitor elephant
