Indigo, Spicejet Issue Travel Advisory For Passengers Amidst Heavy Rains In Delhi
Indigo and Spicejet have issued travel advisory to passengers amidst heavy rain in Delhi-NCR
New Delhi: The Indigo and Spicejet airlines on Friday cautioned their travellers to check their flight status frequently and plan their travel accordingly in Delhi in the wake of bad weather and heavy rainfall in the entire Delhi-NCR region. Amidst a sudden spell of heavy downpours in the national capital region, the two airlines issued travel advisories for their passengers asking them to keep a vigil on their flight status before reaching the airport.
In its advisory, Indigo Airlines has urged travellers to check their flight status constantly as it is raining heavily in Delhi. The airlines have also advised passengers to reach the airport well ahead of the scheduled time, as roads leading to the airport may get waterlogged.
Indigo Airlines, through a post on X, issued the travel advisory, saying, "It’s pouring heavily in #Delhi, affecting flight schedules. If you’re planning to jet off, please keep a tab on your flight statushttps://bit.ly/3DNYJqj and plan ahead, as roads leading to the airport may be waterlogged. Wishing you safe travels!”
Meanwhile, Spicejet also issued a travel advisory for its passengers cautioning them that their flights might get affected due to heavy downpours at the Delhi Airport and subsequently they should keep tracking their flight status to plan their journey. “Due to bad weather in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may get affected,” Spicejet stated, in a post on X.
“Traffic congestion and slow vehicle movement are expected enroute Delhi Airport due to heavy rains. Passengers travelling to the airport are requested to keep a tab on live traffic and plan their journey accordingly and keep a check on their flight status via https://shorturl.at/6KfRe,” SpiceJet said.
