Kolkata: In the polygraph test conducted by CBI's investigation team on Sanjoy Roy, the accused in the Kolkata rape-murder case, experts found that he lied repeatedly, as indicated by experts' analysis

The preliminary expert opinion suggests that Roy's attempt to prove his innocence was deemed ‘false,’ with the polygraph detecting signs of "stress" during his statement.

The polygraph measures variations in pulse rate and heart rate to assess the truthfulness of statements, abnormal fluctuations in these metrics were observed, indicating deceit. As per the analysis, significant deviations in the graph were recorded in response to two of his statements.

Moreover, when Sanjoy claimed not to have seen anyone enter the seminar room, the test results showed marked irregularities. The graph also revealed abnormal changes when Roy discovered the young lady's body and fled in fear.
