Maharashtra Horror: Family on Bike Run Over by Car After 5 Km Chase

Latur: In a shocking road rage incident in Maharashtra 's Latur, a man riding a two-wheeler with his wife and their three-year-old daughter and six-year-old son was struck by a car. The vehicle, which had five men, chased them down for five kilometers before hitting them. 

According to officials, the victim, Sadique Shaikh (35), and his son survived the attack with injuries, but his wife Iqra and daughter Nadia lost their lives. 

Car Chases Family of Four, Hits Them, 2 Killed

The accused have been booked under murder charges.

The incident took place on September 29 evening when the family was returning from their relative’s place in Ausa, nearly 20 km from Latur. 

Victims' Family Alleges Police Were Not Filing Complaint

As per the complainant, the accused’s car came suddenly in front of his bike, leading to an argument between them. However, the car allegedly chased the bike and then knocked them over near Budhana village. 

Shaikh’s lawyer alleged that there were religious slurs used against the complainant. 

Meanwhile, the victim’s family also alleged that the police officials did not register an FIR and only registered it two days of the incident.

Later, the five accused identified as Digambhar Pandole, Krishna Wagh, Basvaraj Dhotre, Manoj Mane, and Mudame—were remanded to police custody for three days. 

Following the incident, local residents apprehended them.

Earlier, in a startling road rage incident in Maharashtra , an auto-rickshaw driver was filmed attacking and attempting to strike a man in a car near Pune's Rakshak Chowk. This incident occurred on September 27 around 5:30 PM, just outside the Aundh Military Station gate, according to a report by Pune Pulse.

Tensions heightened as the auto driver began stomping on Verma's car and was seen breaking the side-view mirror. The video then captures the auto driver demanding that Verma roll down his window while threatening him for overtaking.
