"At around 10:30 PM, we received the report at our station. We took cognizance of the matter, and forensic experts along with the scene of crime officers were sent. His brother, Rahul Singh, filed a complaint against Monika Sihag. Based on this, we registered a case under Section 108 of the BNS at Pandeshwar Police Station for abetment of suicide. The FIR was registered this morning," the senior police official added.
He also accused her of having similar relationships with other men. In his video, he urged that the woman should face consequences for her actions.
Authorities have taken note of the situation, and a case has been filed, with an investigation currently underway. This tragic event follows the recent suicide of a TCS employee in Agra, who reportedly ended his life due to alleged harassment by his wife.
TCS Employee Commits Suicide, Accuses Wife of Extramarital Affair
Last week, a 31-year-old manager at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reportedly took his own life on February 24, 2024. Manav Sharma's death has sent shockwaves through the community, and details surrounding the circumstances of his demise are raising serious concerns about mental health and domestic abuse.
Manav Sharma was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room by his family, who discovered him early in the morning.
Despite their efforts to rush him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Sharma recorded a six-minute video prior to his death, which has since gone viral on social media.
In the video, he expressed his pain and mentioned the emotional turmoil he faced, alleging that his wife had been torturing him since their marriage in January 2024. He poignantly urged viewers to consider the struggles faced by men, emphasizing the loneliness and isolation many experience.
"Please think of men too, please, someone should talk about men. Poor guys are very lonely, sorry Papa Mummy, sorry Akku. Everything will be fine once I am gone, please don't bother my family about my suicide," he said in his video.
Manav, a resident of Defence Colony in Sadar, had been working as a recruitment manager for TCS in Mumbai. He was the only son of Narendra Sharma, a retired Air Force officer. Family and friends describe him as a hardworking individual who had a bright future ahead.
As the case continues to unfold, it has sparked discussions on mental health, domestic violence, and the need for support systems for those who may feel trapped in abusive relationships.
Authorities are expected to further investigate the circumstances surrounding Sharma's death, and the family is seeking justice in the wake of this tragic loss.
