Minimum temperature in New Delhi at 5.5 degrees Celsius, AQI 'very poor'

Clear skies are expected during the day according to the IMD. It stated that the maximum temperature would probably hover around 25 degrees Celsius.

New Delhi: The minimum temperature in Delhi on Saturday was recorded at 5.5 degrees Celsius, three degrees below the season's average, the India Meteorological Department reported. 

Clear skies are expected during the day according to the IMD. It stated that the maximum temperature would probably hover around 25 degrees Celsius.

The relative humidity was 100% at 8.30 a.m.

The national capital's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 346, placing it in the 'very poor' category.

An AQI of 0 to 50 is regarded as "good," 51 to 100 as "satisfactory," 101 to 200 as "moderate," 201 to 300 as "poor," 301 to 400 as "very poor," 401 to 450 as "severe," and 451 and above as "severe-plus."

At 4.9 degrees Celsius on Friday, Delhi recorded its lowest minimum temperature of the season—even lower than Shimla's minimum 6.8 degrees Celsius.
