Mumbai Traffic Update: Police Issue Advisory Due to Tilak Bridge Construction, Check Routes
In light of the ongoing construction of the new Tilak Bridge in Mumbai, a traffic advisory has been issued for October 13-14, 2024.
Mumbai: In light of the ongoing construction of the new Tilak Bridge in Mumbai, a traffic advisory has been issued for October 13-14, 2024. To facilitate the laying of an iron girder for the bridge, traffic on Senapati Bapat Marg will be impacted from 11 pm on October 13 to 5 am on October 14.
These Roads are Blocked
During this period, northbound vehicular traffic on Senapati Bapat Marg will be completely closed between Electric Pole No. 95 and Electric Pole No. 83, which spans the Kavi Keshavsut Bridge. Commuters are advised to avoid this route and plan accordingly to minimize delays.
Check Alternate Routes
To manage the traffic flow, northbound vehicles will be diverted to one lane of the southbound lane between Electric Pole No. 95 and Electric Pole No. 83. Traffic officials have urged drivers to follow the diversions and allow extra time for their journeys.
Advisory for Mumbaikars
Mumbai residents, especially those traveling in and around Senapati Bapat Marg, are advised to be cautious and check for real-time traffic updates. Emergency services, public transportation, and essential vehicles are expected to adhere to the alternate routes during the closure period. Motorists should be prepared for possible congestion during these hours.
The work is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. on October 14, after which normal traffic conditions will resume.
