Republic has accessed nine CCTV clips that clearly reveal the violence was orchestrated, with masked rioters seen carrying weapons like sticks and stones. Reports suggest they may have also been armed with more lethal weapons.

Rioters Armed With Sticks

CCTV footage shows groups of rioters moving through the streets, armed with sticks and rods. The masked individuals can be seen charging at properties, vehicles, and public spaces, wreaking havoc.

Masked Rioters Seen in Action

The attackers deliberately concealed their identities, making it evident that the violence was preplanned. Their movements were coordinated, with several seen passing sticks among themselves.

Mob Goes on Stone-Pelting Rampage

Videos show rioters hurling stones at police personnel and public property. The violence escalated near a police station, where officers were seen struggling to control the aggressive crowd.

Orchestrated Arson and Destruction

The mob didn’t just stop at vandalism—they set vehicles and property on fire. One group broke a bike, dipped a juice can in petrol, and ignited it. Spray bottles were reportedly used as igniters, and some rioters deliberately leaked fuel from bikes before throwing flaming objects.

Jute Bags Used to Spread Fire

The violence extended to residential areas, where rioters used jute bags soaked in flammable substances to spread fire inside homes. The calculated nature of the attacks suggests a larger conspiracy behind the unrest.

50 Arrested, Five FIRs Registered

Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Singal confirmed that over 50 people have been taken into custody and five FIRs have been filed. The violence broke out during a right-wing protest demanding the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb.
