Noida: Commuters in Noida and Greater Noida are advised to brace for possible traffic diversions on select routes from Saturday evening to Sunday afternoon due to a VIP visit in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, as per a police advisory released on Friday.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is set to be the chief guest at the convocation ceremony of Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida on Sunday, attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

In light of the VIP event, the police advisory outlines specific areas where traffic movement may be restricted or diverted briefly.

Changes in key points in Noida 

Commuters are likely to experience changes at key points such as Gautam Buddha University Chowk, Pusta Tiraha, Chuhadpur Underpass, NSG Roundabout, IFS Villa Roundabout, Pari Chowk on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and various cuts along sectors 168, 132, 128, 126, and 125.

Similarly, other crucial locations like Charkha Roundabout, Mahamaya Flyover, Dalit Prerna Sthal Parking Cut, DND Flyover, and several sector-specific points are expected to have temporary restrictions and diversions.

Emergency vehicles to be permitted movement 

Emergency vehicles will be permitted movement during these diversions to ensure the smooth passage of crucial services. Commuters are strongly encouraged to explore alternative routes to minimize inconvenience during the specified period.
