Chandigarh: Amidst escalating tensions with her husband, Kabaddi player Deepak Hooda, world champion boxer Saweety Boora has made a bold statement, saying, "I want a divorce, I don't want a penny from him." The comment comes as the couple's marital discord continues to make headlines, with allegations and counter-allegations surfacing from both sides.

Saweety Boora, who has accused her husband of harassment and dowry demands, has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. In a recent statement, she spoke about her desire to move on without seeking any financial settlement from her husband. "I just want my belongings and a peaceful resolution," she added.  

The situation took a dramatic turn when a video surfaced showing Saweety punching Deepak at a police station, further fueling public interest in the case.

The couple, both celebrated athletes and recipients of the prestigious Arjuna Award, tied the knot in July 2022. However, their relationship has been marred by allegations of domestic abuse and dowry harassment, leading to police complaints from both parties. Sweety Boora had filed a dowry harassment case against her husband.
