New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his involvement in politics is not driven by a desire for power and he has always focused on being 'pro-workful' rather than becoming  'powerful'.

In an exclusive podcast conversation with Lex Fridman, Prime Minister Modi shared that he has dedicated his life to creating positive change in people's lives.

Not in Politics To Pursue Power Games, says PM Modi

“Well I don’t think the word powerful quite reflects the journey of my life. I can never claim to be powerful. I am a humble servant. I even identify myself as Prime Servant and not Prime Minister. Service of Public is my mantra. As far as word power is concerned, I have never bothered about power. I never came to politics to pursue power games. I am a supporter of being pro-workful rather than being powerful,” Prime Minister Modi said.

“I have always dedicated myself to serving the people. I have always devoted myself to bringing about a positive change in their lives,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, invoking a connection between science and spirituality.

He said that Ramanujan derived his ideas from spiritual discipline, where one integrates self and work.

"I deeply respect him (Ramanujan), and everyone in my country respects him as well because I strongly believe there's a deep connection between science and spirituality. If you closely observe many scientifically advanced minds, you'll find they're often spiritually advanced, too. They're not disconnected from spirituality," the Prime Minister said.

"Srinivasa Ramanujan once said that his mathematical ideas came from the goddess he worshipped, meaning ideas emerge from spiritual discipline, and discipline is more than just hard work. It means fully devoting yourself to a task and completely immersing yourself in it so much that you become one with your work," he added.

In his podcasts, several personalities from various walks of life have discussed issues ranging from complex niches to other areas of mass understanding.
