33% Posts Reserved Reservation to Women In Rajasthan Police
The Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules, 1989, have been amended to ensure 33 % reservation for women in the police department. Minister Jogaram Patel emphasized the government's dedication to empowering women and advancing gender equality within the state’s law enforcement agencies.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday.
A decision has also been made to offer additional reservations for athletes who excel in the Paralympics and other sporting events.
"In the case of the death of a government employee with disabilities, close relatives of the deceased will also be entitled to pension benefits," Minister Patel said.
The cabinet also decided that employees will receive an enhanced family pension for a period of 10 years, similar to the benefits provided to central employees.
On similar lines, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also announced that a 30 per cent reservation for women in the state police on Thursday (19 October) during Nari Shakti Vandan event held at Bagla Degree College in Hathras.
