Osmania University Under Scanner After Blade Found in Hostel Food

Hyderabad: Students at Hyderabad's Osmania University found razor blade in the food served at the New Godavari hostel mess. This shocking revelation has sparked outrage and led to a massive protest by the students, who are demanding immediate action from the university authorities.

The incident came to light when a student from the Economics Department found a razor blade in the dinner served in the canteen. This is not the first time deadly objects have been found in the hostel food. Students have previously reported finding worms, glass pieces, and other contaminants in their meals.

Osmania University Students Protests 
Outraged by the repeated negligence, around 300 students gathered to protest against the poor quality of food and lack of cleanliness in the hostel kitchens. The students blocked the university's main road, carrying the contaminated food and chanting slogans against the administration. They demanded an immediate meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof. M Kumar to address their concerns.

Previous Complaints Ignored
Students have alleged that their previous complaints about the food quality have fallen on deaf ears. Despite paying ₹3,000 per month for the hostel mess, they have been served substandard food. The students have also raised concerns about the irregular water supply in the hostel, which has led to several health issues.

In response to the protests, university officials have formed a committee to investigate the issue and take necessary action to prevent such incidents in the future.
